出国~吃香喝辣篇 (part I)

说得好听是出国，其实就只不过是去泰国的合艾（Hadyai)而已啦！两个多小时车程就到了。哈哈！

昨天没做工啊，就和老妈，大哥，大嫂去了一趟合艾。当天来回。

Went to Hadyai, Thailand yesterday with my mama, eldest brother and sister-in-law.

only the four of us (no children, yeah yeah!), for a one day trip.

看！老妈还兴奋到衣服都穿反了。 =)

好久没来 59 了，因为说真的他们的价钱有点高档

那些蔡生教我的事

（是写"阿丽"吗？一下子就混熟了。。嘿嘿！=P ）

朋友Lyss说到她所知道的蔡澜先生是饮食节目主持人。然而我看蔡生的电视节目不多，对他的认识都是从他的书上得来的。（Lyss，这样一来我们就扯平啦！）

说到蔡生的书，我是看到几本就买几本的那种。但蔡生的书，虽说普遍，却不齐全。最近就发生过这样的事：我在书报摊看到了几本他的新的翻版书，以为可以在大众书局买得到。。但去了几次都落空。后来书报摊上也看不到了。真是两头不到岸。气煞！

蔡生见多识广，他所懂得的东西，是我穷极一生也学不完的。可是读多了他的书，多多少少也学到了一点皮毛。

《普洱茶》

以前都不懂得喝，但经过蔡生介绍后才知道这看似又黑又浓的茶原来一点都不苦。

（拿来配油腻的点心最好，哈！）

《羊肉》

他说羊肉是他最喜欢的肉类，并且“羊肉不膻，就不叫羊肉了。”

于是后来我也学会了吃羊肉。（罪过罪过~）

但是我觉得羊脂较多的部位膻味还是重了些，还是留给其他的知食分子吧！

《猪油&猪油渣》

用猪油煮菜最好吃。

加了猪油渣的福建炒麪更是天下无敌。

难怪我总觉得老妈以前在旧家煮的菜最让我魂牵梦萦，因为都是用猪油烹煮的嘛！

《守时》

这个好。蔡生说他从不准时，因为他每次赴约都早到。

早到不只让人从容不迫，而且常常会有学到或看到其他事物等的意外收获。

这个真的要好好学起来。（脸红着）

《50/50》

不管什么事，你试，成功的机会是五十五十，不试，机会是零。

在[给年轻人的信 ]系列中最常提到。不管学业事业爱情婚姻或其他，全都用得着。

真理啊！真理。

《坦白》
把心中的感受说出来，不要憋着，这才是善待自己。
喜欢，要说出来。
讨厌，也要说出来。（当然也要有被人讨厌回的心理准备，哈！但至少对得起自己的良心）

《骂人不用脏话》

这里举的例子是发生在倪匡先生身上的。大意如下——话说有一次倪生接到一个女记者的电话，对方很缺礼貌，倪生说“可惜你的父母去世的早啊！”女记者奇怪，说她父母都还在啊！倪生就说“都还在可是怎么都没好好的教你呢？” （之类的，我可能记错了）

这个高招。

但是我等凡夫俗子即使修炼多数十载也未必学到这招术哩！

是我领悟力不够啦！记性又差（又贪吃，哈！），暂时就只想到这些了。

将来有缘再续！

讲老友讲老友

公元2008年11月17日 —— 晚上8时正 —— 紧张又激动的时刻 （哈！好像我是主讲人似的）

没想到在有生之年，竟然有幸见到我喜爱的作家之一蔡澜先生本尊！

看到两位惺惺相惜的老友，在台上悠游自在，不徐不缓，时而调侃，时而奚落。。的谈着天，感觉他们很真。因为我在蔡生书里读到的他们，完全就像是夜我眼前亲眼看到，亲耳听到的他们。

倪匡先生当然也是闻名遐尔的，只是我读他的著作不多；充其量只读了几本，最喜欢的是《眼睛》。如此而已。 =P

想到有一位读者问到他，倪匡和卫斯理是同一个人吗？因为该读者说书的封面总写着[倪匡（卫斯理）]。

倪生立刻答：“谁说的？倪匡和卫斯理哪里会是同一个人？卫斯理会说27国语言，而我连话都说不标准”。真的是一位直率又可爱的人哪！

更好笑的是，蔡生和倪生两人都说“那都是出版商骗你们的啦！”

倪生见到这为“师奶粉丝”的儿子，就一把捉了他来合照，可乐死了这位“师奶粉丝”。哈哈！

轮到为我的书们签名啦！看到蔡生亲切的问我叫什么名字时，一时受宠若惊，差点连老爸给我取的名字都讲不出。哈！很肖可是？

（其实书可是扛了十几本去，但蔡生识相，早就交代了他和倪生会一人各签两本，而且只签自己的书而已。怨叹啊！）

天份

其实上个月就该贴的这篇文,竟然给我拖到了今天.. 真是太过"活在当下"而忘了过去.哈!

话说上个月老妈生日前,她的儿女们就商量好了要一起庆祝;说好地点之后,我就在24小时前去了幸福楼,想要订两桌好菜的说.

本来是要看些有什么需要预订的菜式,但菜单们看来看去都是些吃到怕的酒席菜;

可后来还是点了东玻肉, 富贵生麵, Laksa蒸鱼, Salad虾及荷包海参.

于是...大约30分钟不到,我离开了幸福楼.手里握住一张刷了460块钱的帐单. (流冷汗)

唉!都怪自己没问清楚.那海参是领班特别介绍的.. 当她看了订单,跟我说.."嗯!...因为海参比较贵,就算你230块钱吧!"然后我就自作聪明的以为是两桌共230,很爽快的拿了卡去刷... (哭)

第二天.午餐时间.老妈家的一大票人就陆陆续续的到幸福楼报到去了.

坐定.再追加多几道菜.

人齐了.上菜了.

先来个清炒芦荀.  怎么芦荀有点老? 不管,先送下肚.

(另一桌的是辣炒芦荀,没试到, no comment)

再来个峇拉煎(belachan)鸡.

不过不失.又吞了.

Salad虾.

用的虾小小只兼炸得不酥脆不说,

你看过有人把coleslaw(净是切丝的包菜而已)当salad的吗?

为了应景的 富贵生麫

味道普普

菜煮老了

肉过熟了

并且

麫不够吃!!!!!!!

(哈罗!这是一桌9-10人的午餐耶!!)

东玻肉,... 忘了拍照.一来相机忘了充电,不敢拍得太多;

二来,肉就只是黑压压的一坨.没看头. (怪的是,隔壁桌的是切片的,我们桌的是切块的)

塷汁旁, 10 粒油炸小馒头 (肯定是 frozen food , 超市也有得卖的那种.真没诚意.) 遥遥相望的各就各位;

一上桌,小孩子们就把馒头抢光了 (姑姑/阿姨对不起你们,饿到你们了...).

而,肉,咬不断.

领班特别介绍的 很.贵.的.荷..包..海..参..

海参,就习惯性的无什么味道.

荷包里,听说装的是sotong加不知什么其他的材料搅成的.. 竟然就和海参们相辅相成--无什么味道也!

真令人错愕.

好在旁边的蔬菜还不错吃.  Orz

话说半年前在某个婚宴中嚐到了很好吃的 Laksa蒸鱼,很是怀念,所以我订了这道不在菜单里的菜(因为领班说他们也有嘛!).

鱼送到时,又是一阵错愕. 银鲳鱼小小一只,占了1/3个盘子. 

汤汁只有辣,没有酸. 而且.. 还好像忘了加盐. 

天哪!

由于蒸鱼是最后一道(我们还有加了所谓'招牌茄子'和'金牌火鸭',还吃得过.懒得写了),我已被之前的阵阵失望搞得忘了拍照.    

T___T

结帐时,忍不住对店家的人说:"不好吃.以前在这里用餐,东西都好好吃.这次因为妈妈生日,以为想带她来这里吃好吃的,结果东西都不好吃."

女侍应只是尴尬的陪着笑,然后默默无言的把我的卡还回给我.

都是我的错... 我早就该对他们 午餐的热门时间 竟只得2-3桌顾客的生意额 感到警惕的. (前一天订菜时,是午餐后.. 当时还连一个顾客都没有)

幸亏后来有大姐专程从PG买回来的 Häagen-Dazs ice-cream 救市,一众满头包的大人小孩们才觉得有点苦尽甘来.

分享完了大家就各自各精彩(或去别的地方续摊)去了.

末了,在完结让我写得头昏脑涨的这篇东西前,想套句我的偶像蔡澜先生所写过的:

"要把食物煮得这么难吃,真的要有点天份才行."

P/S:真是的,三更半夜还在PO文.元气大伤啊!

为什么呢?因为刚开始写了几行之后,不小心按了publish post.. 不想刪掉改天重写,也不希望读者(虽然就只是那三两个,哈!)看到满头问号,就"硬硬"写完咯..   

况且又..又第一次写这么长.....   [Q&*@%^X$#YZ...... z z z z z z z]

"It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.
"It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.
"It's the answer that led those who have been told for so long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.
"It's been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.

勝 利 是 由 打 工 男 女 從 微 薄 積 蓄 中 一 點 一 滴 搭 建 而 成 ， 他 們 在 這 過 程 中 五 塊 、 十 塊 、 二 十 塊 的 付 出  。 力 量 的 形 成 ， 是 來 自 拒 絕 隨 俗 和 同 代 一 樣 漠 不 關 心 的 年 輕 人 ； 來 自 為 了 離 鄉 別 井 工 作 、 不 計 較 微 薄 酬 勞 卻 睡 得 更 少 的 年 輕 人 ； 來 自 不 畏 嚴 寒 酷 暑 而 向 陌 生 人 拍 門 的 不 太 年 輕 的 人 ； 來 自 數 以 百 萬 計 志 願 組 織 的 美 國 人 ， 他 們 證 明 了 ， 超 過 兩 世 紀 之 後 ， 一 個 屬 於 人 民 、 建 於 人 民 、 向  人 民 的 政 府 ， 並 沒 有 從 地 球 上 消 亡 。 這 是 你 們 的 勝 利 。

我 知 道 你 們 並 非 為  贏 一 場 選 舉 而 幹 ， 也 非 為 了 我 而 幹 。 你 們 做 了 ， 是 因 為 你 們 明 白 前 面 的 艱 巨 任 務 。 即 使 我 們 今 晚 慶 祝 了 ， 我 們 知 道 明 天 帶 來 的 挑 戰 是 畢 生 最 巨 大 的 ； 兩 場 戰 爭 、 一 個 危 急 的 星 球 、 一 個 世 紀 以 來 最 惡 劣 的 金 融 危 機 。 
即 使 今 晚 我 們 站 在 這  ， 我 們 知 道 有 些 勇 敢 的 美 國 人 ， 正 在 伊 拉 克 的 沙 漠 ， 正 在 阿 富 汗 的 山 群 為  我 們 而 拚 命 。 有 些 父 親 母 親 ， 孩 子 入 睡 後 還 無 法 就 寢 ， 他 們 盤 算  如 何 清 還 按 揭 貸 款 、 支 付 醫 療 賬 單 、 儲 錢 給 孩 子 上 大 學 。 前 面 還 有 新 的 能 源 需 要 開 發 、 新 的 工 作 職 位 需 要 創 造 、 新 的 學 校 需 要 興 建 ， 還 有 威 脅 要 面 對 、 盟 友 要 修 補 。 
前 路 將 會 漫 長 陡 峭 ， 我 們 未 必 能 一 年 、 任 內 一 屆 即 能 達 到 ， 但 我 對 美 國 從 未 像 今 晚 般 充 滿 希 望 。 我 答 應 你 們 ， 我 們 作 為 一 個 民 族 ， 必 將 達 到 。 
前 面 會 有 挫 折 與 失 誤 ， 會 有 很 多 人 未 必 同 意 我 身 為 總 統 所 作 出 的 每 個 決 定 與 政 策 ， 我 也 知 道 政 府 不 可 能 解 決 每 個 問 題 。 但 我 將 永 遠 誠 實 的 向 你 們 交 代 我 們 面 對 的 挑 戰 ， 我 會 聆 聽 你 們 ， 尤 其 是 當 我 們 分 歧 之 時 。 更 重 要 的 是 ， 我 會 徵 求 你 們 加 入 ， 以 美 國 221 年 來 唯 一 的 方 式 ， 一 磚 一 瓦 、 一 點 一 滴 ， 一 起 重 建 這 個 國 家 。 
21 個 月 前 的 嚴 冬 所 開 始 的 東 西 ， 一 定 不 會 在 這 個 秋 夜 終 結 。 這 次 勝 利 本 身 ， 並 非 我 們 追 求 的 改 變 ， 它 只 是 給 予 我 們 改 變 的 一 個 機 會 。 如 果 我 們 重 返 舊 路 ， 如 果 沒 有 你 們 ， 改 變 就 不 會 發 生 。 
就 讓 我 們 號 召 起 一 個 新 的 愛 國 主 義 精 神 ， 一 種 服 務 與 責 任 的 精 神 ； 從 此 我 們 每 人 開 始 工 作 ， 更 加 努 力 ， 不 僅 照 顧 自 己 ， 也 互 相 關 顧 。 讓 我 們 記 住 這 場 金 融 危 機 給 我 們 的  訓 ， 這 個 國 家 不 能 擁 有 一 條 興 旺 的 華 爾 街 ， 卻 讓 大 街 （ Main Street ） 受 苦 ， 作 為 一 個 國 家 、 一 個 民 族 ， 我 們 得 甘 苦 與 共 。 
讓 我 們 抵 禦 誘 惑 ， 不 再 墮 落 於 長 久 以 來 毒 害 我 們 政 治 的 黨 同 伐 異 、 心 胸 狹 窄 以 及 幼 稚 無 知 。 讓 我 們 記 住 ， 是 這 個 國 家 的 一 個 人 ， 首 先 帶  共 和 黨 的 橫 額 進 入 白 宮 。 這 個 政 黨 建 立 於 自 我 信 任 、 個 人 自 由 和 國 家 團 結 的 價 值 觀 ， 這 些 都 是 我 們 的 共 同 價 值 ， 即 使 民 主 黨 今 晚 贏 了 一 場 大 仗 ， 我 們 也 是 懷  謙 卑 與 決 心 ， 去 彌 補 曾 經 阻 礙 我 們 前 進 的 分 歧 。 正 如 林 肯 （ Lincoln ） 曾 經 對  一 個 比 我 們 更 分 化 的 國 家 說 ： 「 我 們 非 敵 是 友 ， 即 使 情 緒 有 時 會 損 耗 了 友 誼 ， 但 一 定 不 會 分 裂 我 們 的 親 情 。 」 對 於 那 些 我 還 未 能 得 到 支 持 的 美 國 人 ， 我 也 許 未 能 贏 得 你 們 的 選 票 ， 但 我 聽 見 你 們 的 聲 音 ， 我 需 要 你 們 的 幫 助 ， 我 也 將 會 是 你 們 的 總 統 。

對 於 那 些 今 晚 隔 岸 觀 看 的 人 ， 無 論 來 自 國 會 、 皇 宮 ， 或 者 在 世 界 被 遺 忘 的 角 落  擠 在 收 音 機 前 的 人 ， 我 們 的 故 事 雖 然 各 異 ， 但 我 們 的 命 運 是 共 有 的 ， 美 國 領 導 的 新 一 天 已 經 來 臨 。 那 些 想 破 壞 世 界 的 人 ， 我 們 會 擊 敗 你 們 ； 那 些 追 求 和 平 安 定 的 人 ， 我 們 會 支 持 你 們 。 對 於 有 人 懷 疑 美 國 的 指 路 明 燈 是 否 還 能 指 引 世 人 ， 今 晚 我 們 再 次 證 明 了 ， 我 們 國 家 的 真 正 力 量 ， 並 非 來 自 孔 武 有 力 或 者 雄 厚 財 富 ， 而 是 來 自 我 們 理 想 的 持 久 力 量 ： 民 主 、 自 由 、 機 會 ， 以 及 從 不 退 讓 的 冀 求 。 
這 就 是 美 國 的 特 徵 ， 美 國 可 以 改 變 。 我 們 的 團 結 可 以 更 臻 完 美 ， 我 們 過 去 的 成 就 ， 讓 我 們 期 盼 明 天 也 一 定 可 以 取 得 成 就 。 
今 次 選 舉 ， 有 很 多 第 一 次 、 很 多 故 事 讓 世 代 流 傳 。 然 而 今 晚 存 在 我 心 的 ， 卻 是 一 位 在 阿 特 蘭 大 （ Atlanta ） 投 票 的 婦 人 。 她 大 致 跟 這 次 選 舉 中 其 餘 數 以 百 萬 計 排 隊 發 聲 的 人 一 樣 ， 除 了 一 點 ， Ann Nixon Cooper 已 經 106 歲 了 。 
她 生 於 黑 奴 年 代 剛 結 束 的 時 候 ， 那 時 道 路 沒 有 汽 車 、 天 空 沒 有 飛 機 ， 那 時 像 她 這 樣 的 人 不 能 投 票 ， 原 因 有 二 ： 因 為 她 是 女 人 ； 因 為 她 的 膚 色 。

當 封 塵 的 飯 碗 盛  絕 望 ， 大 蕭 條 席 捲 大 地 的 時 候 ， 她 看 見 一 個 國 家 以 新 政 （ NewDeal ） 、 新 工 作 ， 和 新 的 共 同 理 念 ， 征 服 了 自 我 恐 懼 。 我 們 做 得 到 。

人 類 登 陸 月 球 ， 柏 林 圍 牆 倒 下 ， 世 界 就 是 由 我 們 的 科 學 與 想 像 連 接 起 來 。 而 今 年 ， 今 次 選 舉 ， 她 的 手 指 輕 觸  屏 幕 ， 投 下 她 的 選 票 。 因 為 她 知 道 ， 美 國 經 歷 106 年 之 後 ， 經 過 最 好 的 時 候 、 黑 暗 的 時 光 ， 美 國 可 以 怎 樣 改 變 。 我 們 做 得 到 。
